Opportunities and Disciplines:

We are seeking exceptional faculty members in the following or relevant disciplines of the School of ESE: Environmental Science and Engineering; Earth System Modeling; Ocean Engineering; Low-Carbon Technologies; Environmental Health; Sustainable Development and Management.

Responsibilities:

Successful applicants will:

• Develop and teach undergraduate and graduate courses in English and/or Chinese.
• Establish an innovative, externally funded research program.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams on impactful research.
• Contribute to service roles within the university and academic community.

Qualifications:

• PhD in a relevant field of engineering or science
• Demonstrated excellence in research, with publications in high-quality journals
• Excellent communication skills in English
• Prior experience in teaching and mentoring is preferred

The School of the Environment and Sustainable Engineering (ESE) was established in November 2024. The mission of ESE is to become: an innovative training ground for cultivating top talent in the environment and sustainability fields; an international center of excellence for cross-discipline and innovative research in the frontier of environment and sustainability; a leading platform for innovation and industrialization of advanced environmental protection and sustainable technologies; and an influential think-tank for environment and sustainability. ESE focuses on three broadly defined areas for research and development, including but not limited to, Environment and Health, Human Activities and Sustainable Development, and Artificial Intelligence in Environmental Protection and Management.
