About the University

LNNU-MSU College of International Business (CIB) is located in Dalian, a coastal city in northeast China. The city offers a low cost of living, mild climate, fresh seafood, and a relaxed lifestyle. The partnership between Missouri State University (USA) and Liaoning Normal University (China) was established in June 2000. LNNU-MSU CIB offers a two-year AA in General Studies and a four-year BS in General Business, open to both Chinese and international students.

LNNU-MSU’s unique structure ensures academic standards equivalent to those at MSU’s U.S. campus, with all classes taught in English. The program is formally approved by the Ministry of Education of the People’s Republic of China and the MSU Board of Governors. The mission is to foster cultural and educational exchange while strengthening U.S.-China relations.

About the Job

Faculty are approved by Missouri State University and employed by Liaoning Normal University as consultant lecturers, working in cooperation with MSU. They are not employees of MSU and are expected to fulfill obligations per their LNNU contracts. Full-time faculty teach up to 15 lecture hours and hold 5 office hours per week. Interaction with students outside the classroom is encouraged. The position requires relocation to Dalian, China. Instruction is conducted entirely in English; knowledge of Chinese is not required.

Compensation

• Salary: 16,000 – 20,000 RMB per month (plus 3,800 RMB/month housing allowance)
• Salary commensurate with qualifications and experience
• Initial contract: one semester; subsequent one-year contracts available
• Regular retention bonuses

Minimum Requirements

• Master’s degree in Data Analytics or related field from an accredited institution
• Minimum two years of teaching experience in a related field (university or college level preferred)
• Successful background checks (MSU and Chinese visa requirements)
• Eligibility and willingness to obtain a Chinese work permit and visa

Desired Qualifications

• Ph.D. in Data Analytics or a closely related field
• Five or more years of teaching experience (university or college level preferred)
• Experience working with students for whom English is a second language
