Job Responsibilities

• The appointees are expected to teach a range of courses in English proficiency, English for Academic Purposes (EAP), and communication skills for postgraduate students.
• The appointees also need to help develop, prepare and assess course materials and give lectures to the students.

Qualifications

• Applicants with a PhD or Master's degree in relevant disciplines in English, a recognized teaching qualification and relevant teaching experience are preferred.
• Applicants with experience in the following areas would be particularly welcome:
  • Rich experience in teaching Chinese students both at undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
  • Writing and presentation skills in research as a practitioner, preferably in scientific and technological topics.
  • Experience and commitment to using innovative teaching methodology.
  • Designing teaching materials and teaching high-level proficiency and EAP courses.
  • Teaching pronunciation, perhaps with drama or speech therapy experience.
