Teaching Faculty Positions in Biology

Westlake University is currently accepting multiple applications fromhigh-level talent for teaching faculty positions to expand the university's professional teaching force further, establish a high-levelteaching system aligned with the university's mission and goals, and provide students with firm learning guidance and support. The specificjob responsibilities and application requirements are as follows:

Open Rank, Non-tenure Track Full-Time Teaching FacultyPositions in Biology

Responsibilities:

1. Develop and teach major courses in biology in Englishfor undergraduate students.

2. Enhance students’ motivation and interest in biology.

3. Support students‚Äô learningand provide individualized assistance; ensure sufficient office hours to assist students in regular consultation, provide training andguidance to teaching assistants. 

4. Organize and participate in other biology teaching-related activities on campus.

Requirements:

1. A Ph.D. degree in Biology, Life Sciences, or a closely related field.

2. Demonstratedsuccess in teaching undergraduate courses in life sciences, particularly in majors such as Botany, Zoology, Ecology, and Physiology, atworld-leading universities.

3. Strong communication, writing, and interpersonal skills.

WHAT WE OFFER:

These full-time teaching faculty positions are open at three distinct ranks: Lecturer, Associate Professor, and Professor. The length ofthe contract is typically fixed to three years. There is the possibility of renewal, potentially over several years.
