Teaching Faculty Positions in Physics

Westlake University is currently accepting multiple applications fromhigh-level talent for teaching faculty positions to expand the university's professional teaching force further, establish a high-levelteaching system aligned with the university's mission and goals, and provide students with firm learning guidance and support. The specificjob responsibilities and application requirements are as follows:

Responsibilities:

1. Develop and teach introductory physicscourses (including lab courses) for undergraduate students (in English).

2. Enhance students’ motivation and interest inphysics.

3. Support students’ learning and provide individualized assistance; ensure sufficient office hours to assist studentsin regular consultation; provide training and guidance to teaching assistants.

4. Organize and participate in other physicsteaching-related activities on campus.

Requirements:

1. Strong professional ethics and a sense of dedicationin teaching. Passionate about teaching physics with extensive theoretical knowledge and practical experience at the university level.

2. Ph.D. degree in Physics or a closely related field obtained from a leading Chinese or international university.

3. Experiencedin teaching introductory physics courses at leading universities at home or abroad with demonstrated ability to teach in English.

4.Strong communication, writing, and interpersonal skills.

WHAT WE OFFER:

These are full-time teachingfaculty positions open at three distinct ranks: Lecturer, Associate Professor, and Professor. The length of the contract is typically fixedto three years. There is the possibility of renewal, potentially over several years.
